By 1947 Cadillac had just about recovered to its prewar production, having produced over 62,000 for the 1947 model year. Changes over the 1946 Cadillac were minor. A new "V" hood emblem, a bolder grille with five blades rather than six, and introduction of the famed "sombrero" hubcaps topped the changes for the 1947 Cadillac.
